      • Liu Wei. Painting Without Colour
ABOUT PAINTING. Positions from the Wemhöner Collection, Kerber Verlag 2016
In his photo series It Looks Like a Landscape (2004), Liu Wei, born in 1972 in Beijing, where he now lives and works again, still makes it clear that he is a Chinese artist. But in his Super Structure installation (2005–2007) the issue of his origin is no longer raised. Yet his cultural resonance chamber is in no way irrelevant when it comes to opening up the various dimensions of his works that can be interpreted narratively.

      • Darren Almond. Traces of Time
IN-SIGHT. Photography from the Wemhöner Collection, Kerber Verlag 2012-10
Extremely long exposure times are needed to achieve the razor-sharp silhouettes of trees and mountains of the Fullmoon series (since 1999), as the only source of light for the photographs is the moon.
      • Chen Xiaoyun. Walking over Branches and Sensing Time
IN-SIGHT. Photography from the Wemhöner Collection, Kerber Verlag 2012-10
Chen Xiaoyun’s videos and his staged photographic works examine both metaphorical images and the emotional power of poetry.
      • Gonkar Gyatso. Outline of Buddha
IN-SIGHT. Photography from the Wemhöner Collection, Kerber Verlag 2012-10
To what extent is a Tibetan identity even imaginable in today’s world? The sculptures, photographs and works on paper of Gonkar Gyatso (*1961) provides a sobering answer.
      • Josef Hoflehner. Serene Drama
IN-SIGHT. Photography from the Wemhöner Collection, Kerber Verlag 2012-10
The black-and-white long exposures of the self-taught Austrian artist Josef Hoflehner (b. 1955) emanate a meditative calm. With focused certitude Hoflehner looks for the right perspective, moment and light to capture long-abandoned places, misty landscapes, and international metropolises with his lens.
      • Andreas Mühe. Of Diving Platforms and Other Drop Heights
IN-SIGHT. Photography from the Wemhöner Collection, Kerber Verlag 2012-10
Although the artist Andreas Mühe (b. 1979) first made his name with portraits of politicians such as Angela Merkel and Helmut Kohl, his personal respect is awarded to others, as illustrated by his exhibition at Kunsthalle Rostock (2011).
      • Alexandra Ranner. Into the Silence
IN-SIGHT. Photography from the Wemhöner Collection, Kerber Verlag 2012-10
The locations created by Alexandra Ranner (b. 1967) are never intended to provide comfort or shelter.
      • Tobias Zielony. Somewhere Else, but similar
IN-SIGHT. Photography from the Wemhöner Collection, Kerber Verlag 2012-10
To this day, the projects of the Berlin-based photographer and filmmaker Tobias Zielony draw him to places from which the people living there would rather escape.
